My top 3 favourite Seaglass beaches in Cape Breton Island and mainland Nova Scotia:

  1. Neils Harbor Beach. This is a special spot, a hidden gem along the Cabot Trail. Neils Harbor Beach can be found off the side of the road, nestled down a walking path, beyond some apple trees. Neils Harbour is a small fishing village located along the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island.

If you love chowder and tiny fishing villages you'll want to stop in this sweet little town. You can easily walk through it, down the main road. You'll find little stands on the roadside selling handmade Cape Breton Folk art too. Up by the wharf you'll find a small Lighthouse, which is actually an ice cream shop.

2. Another favourite beachcombing spot is Indian Beach, located in North Sydney. This is a lovely spot as it is directly across from the Ferry terminal. You'll see fishing boats coming and going, the bustling ferry to Newfoundland and a stretch of beach alongside the park area.

3. A great place that is known for Seaglass after a big storm are the beaches at Martinique Beach Provincial Park. Martinique Beach is located on mainland Nova Scotia and is another lovely area to explore, it features a very long stretch of beach to spend the day exploring.

I hope these 3 favourite beaches inspire you get out for a beach day of your own ✨ Want to learn more about the best places to find Seaglass in Nova Scotia?
