Sand Pipers of Nova Scotia - Miniature Framed Seaglass Art
The Sea Glass in this piece was found on the shores of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.
Colors: Clear, Brown and Grey driftwood.
Size: This is a miniature piece, only a few inches in width and length.
Please note colors may look different when viewing in different light. Sea Glass, as with any glass illuminates in bright light. Placing your art close to a window or a light source always helps bring out the colors of the glass.
What is Sea Glass?
Sea glass originates as pieces of glass from broken bottles, broken tableware, or even shipwrecks, which are rolled and tumbled in the ocean for years until all of their edges are rounded off, and the slickness of the glass has been worn to a frosted appearance. The seaglass collected for this art was found on the beaches of Scotland.
